Soft luscious chocolate chip cake made by Snowberry

Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your galley oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a shipshape mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture while alternately pouring in the milk and oil.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before serving. This cake is best enjoyed with a mug of grog or a cup of hot cocoa.
