Sea Dog Pretzels

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- Coarse sea salt
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups warm water, sugar, and salt. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for 5 minutes, until it becomes frothy.
- Add the flour and knead the dough until it's smooth and elastic. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat yer oven to 450°F (230°C) and grease a baking sheet.
- In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups warm water and baking soda.
- Divide the dough into pieces and roll each piece into a rope. Shape the ropes into pretzels and dip them in the baking soda water.
- Place the pretzels on the baking sheet, sprinkle 'em with coarse sea salt, and bake for 10-15 minutes, until they're golden brown.
- Brush the pretzels with melted butter and enjoy 'em while they're still warm, ye scallywags!
