Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, pork, or lamb)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts)
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries or cherries
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce or sweet and sour sauce (for glazing)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, raisins, nuts, dried cranberries, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Beat the egg and add it to the meat mixture. Mix until the egg is fully incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs or mini meatloaves and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the meatballs or meatloaves with barbecue sauce or sweet and sour sauce.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the sauce has caramelized.
- Serve the sweet meats hot as a delicious appetizer or main course.
